Photo Art Book by Lorraine Parow
Convergence, the first book in the series of ‘scribbleography’ photo art books by Lorraine Parow.
“Volume One – CONVERGENCE” is a collection of photographs, a hybrid style which combines drawing with photography. Lorraine has added drawing details to create depth and texture to transport her traditional photography in a playful and uplifting style.
“Volume One – CONVERGENCE” is an original short run book printed and bound in Canada. The photo art mini-books are available for sale here at www.scribbleography.ca. They can be purchased individually or as a set with a box.
The images in “Volume One – CONVERGENCE” are from the original photo art by Lorraine Parow, The photo art is created in a Limited Edition of 35. This is true for all Scribbleography photo art prints.
There are a number of subject categories in “Volume One – CONVERGENCE”. Each image can be made into a limited edition print by Lorraine Parow.
Lorraine Parow hand numbers each Scribbleography photo art print. She also hand-signs, dates and titles them. Each print also comes with a certificate of authenticity. This certificate becomes very valuable upon resale of Scribbleography photo art prints.
Each Scribbleography mini-book is 100 pages; included in them are 50 images. The books measure approximately 6 inches square, and are printed with the most current and advanced press printing equipment (using HP Indigo 5500 Presses using ink rather than toner), ensuring the best possible print results. Scribbleography mini-books are perfect bound, and full colour throughout.
All Scribbleography photo art is available in 3 sizes – 13×13, 20×20 and 30×30 (inches). Regardless of size, each piece of photo art is centered on Hahnemühle paper. Each photo art print has a white border to accommodate the signature. This border also accommodates custom framing and handling. Custom print sizes are available on request. Contact us for custom size pricing and ordering.
With Hahnemühle paper Lorraine Parow’s photo art is environmentally friendly and archival.
Scribbleography photo art is a two-part analogue process. Scribbleography blends traditional photography with scribbling by hand. There is absolutely no digital capture, manipulation or enhancement of the images. Most importantly, Scribbleography photo art is never exposed to Photoshop! How many photographers can say that these days!
Photography with only a camera is an incredibly fast tool. Unlike painting or drawing, the camera defines the perspective, composition, colour, tone etc. all in a split second. With Scribbleography photo art Lorraine forces the image into a slower, more deliberate process.

“I have spent the past few years getting my advanced digital photographic degree. Rather than create digitally I’ve become inspired to develop an analog style that I’ve coined ‘scribbleography’. Each photograph is hand-scribbled, lifted and pulled from the emulsion and infused with my vision. It is an inspired whimsical celebration to reveal my optimistic point of view.
I scribble because it’s fun.”
